Mercy Wins Nigerian Idol 2012.

Mercy Chinwo Nnenda has just been announced winner of the 2012 Nigerian Idol . After 5 months in the contest, Mercy beat Joe Blue (Joe Anthony Ekpo) to win 100,000 USD, an SUV and a recording contract. The finale of the second edition of Nigerian idol saw both Mercy and Joe Blue performing 3 songs each after which Mercy came out on top.

The senate has finally put an end to the controversies on whether or not the 2012 Post UTME for Higher Institutions will hold. The senate finally approved the conduct of Post-UTME having investigated its legality and legitimacy. The reports submitted by Chairman of the Committee, Senator Uche Chukwumerije, clearly stated that the extra examination is indeed legal since the Statue of each university gives its Senate power of admission and discipline of students. Oyo PDP: Obasanjo’s last missionary journey. In attendance at one of such meetings few weeks ago were Senator Lekan Balogun, Alhaji Yekini Adeojo, Elder Wole Oyelese, Oloye Jumoke Akinjide, Senator Teslim Folarin, Chief Olayiwola Lakojo, Dr. Saka Balogun who represented the former Governor of the state, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala and many others. However, four weeks after, the political rivalry they had openly declared to have buried has resurfaced and this time with even stronger vehemence. Alliances have been redefined and former friends turned enemies and the ruling Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN which only four weeks ago was fidgeting over the PDP reconciliation now in a bounce even with its own crisis with labour. The crisis came to a head during the recent state congress of the party held about two weeks ago when those who had claimed to have patched up their differences held separate elective congresses.
